About the expert
Dr. James Danckert
PhD, Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience
Dr. Danckert was trained as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at LaTrobe University in Australia, before moving to Canada in 1999. He completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Western University and was awarded a Tier II Canada Research Chair in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Waterloo in 2002. His research focuses on the feeling state of boredom and the trait propensity to experience boredom frequently and intensely. He lives in Kitchener, Ontario with his wife and two children.
